Exit Loan Counseling must be completed each time that a student drops below half-time, leaves school or graduates.
Important information before you begin:
1- You must have a Department of Education PIN number (the same PIN used to sign the FAFSA). If you do not have a PIN or can not remember your PIN, go to www.pin.ed.gov to request that a PIN be e-mailed to you.
2- The Exit Counseling Session will take approximately 30 minutes to complete and you must complete the entire session in one sitting. If you exit before completing the session, you will be required to start over from the beginning.
3- As part of the session, you will need to supply contact information for your next of kin (usually your parents), two references who live at a different address than your next of kin (all three references must live at a different address).
Proceed to Exit Loan Counseling to complete this federal requirement.
The average total indebtedness of UW-La Crosse students who have borrowed federal loans during their undergraduate career is $24,863 for 2011-12.
