Group study rooms are located on the second floor and in the basement of Murphy Library. See the floor plan below for the exact location. Rooms are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Priority is given to groups of two or more as well as UW-L students, faculty, and staff. Please vacate group study rooms 10 minutes before the library closes.
A Smartboard is located in Murphy Library Room 25 and is available for faculty use before 6 p.m. on weekdays. For more information about using this room, please see Room Reservations.

As a pilot project, Room 12, in the library basement, has been converted to a silent
study room. Many students ask for an environment even quieter than the library’s designated quiet
areas, so this room is intended to answer that need.

To provide more computers during the busy period at the end of the semester, the library is opening
an additional room with computers. Room 30, a computer classroom in the basement of the library,
will open during regular library hours starting December 1, 2013. Students will be able to use the desktop
computers in that room individually or in groups.
